Stuff the Bus

June 16th thru August 4th

The Stuff the Bus Committee of Erie and Huron Counties is collecting and distributing school supplies for the 2025/2026 school year. It is our goal this fall to assist as many students as possible entering grades K-8 whose families may be financially burdened by the cost of school supplies.

Each year we partner with local businesses, organizations and community members to provide new backpacks and school supplies for local students in grades K-8 in Erie County. We also serve the following districts in Huron County: Monroeville, New London, South Central, Willard, St. Francis Xavier, and new this year, Bellevue!

If you would like to help:

1. Encourage your employees to collect and donate school supplies. You can collect various items or you can agree to fill non-gender backpacks with requested supplies. (See supply list below).

2. Conduct a school supply drive at your business and encourage your customers and employees to get involved.

3. Make a monetary donation. Every dollar helps us buy school supplies for families in need. Monetary donations can be dropped off at any VacationLand Federal Credit Union branch. All checks are tax deductible and should be payable to our non-profit partner: Sandusky Bay Kiwanis Community Service Corporation (EIN: 51-0185822).

To Register your child for a backpack:

Go to VacationaLand Federal Credit Union/Stuff the Bus page and enter your child's information. Registration is open through July 27th. Backpacks will be distributed by your student's local school.
